In light of the universe planet earth is very small indeed, yet it's our home. It's where we live. It's where we find our purpose in walking out the journey of a lifetime. It's important that we find right direction for our journey. We only live it once! It's great to get it right; to have the inner assurance we're on the right track.

The earth pictured here seems suspended as though it were hanging on nothing. This however is not the case. The earth has purpose and so do we. The earth as with all the other planets and their moons have a set course, a path on which they travel.

Amazingly the universe and our solar system are all held together and function as a welled oiled machine; everything with purpose and direction. It has intelligent origin and so do people; so do you. We're on a journey, the journey of a lifetime.

The earth rotates on its axis. This spinning gives us our days and nights. While this happening the earth continues on its yearly journey around the sun giving us the seasons. All this continues to play a major part in determining its livability for us.

Much has been discovered about our planet over the last few hundred years. Not that long ago it was thought to be flat. It was the sea traveling Explorers who discovered it to be a globe. 

Fundamental to any kind of global exploration are the common and basic compass directions of north, south, east and west. It is through these fixed and established direction points that travelers are able determine their journey and plot their progress. Accurate direction is essential for a successful journey.

Navigational instruments have always played a major role in the various kinds of exploration people have involved themselves with. Without them, life on earth would be quite different today. 

Learning how to navigate in life is important. What would we do without the basics of such a tool as a road map? Whether one a global traveler or one who simply wants to go an unfamiliar part of the city maps continue to be a valued tool. 

Through the incredible advances in technology we have today what is commonly called the GPS system. Satellites which continuous circle the globe incorporate sophisticated equipment to triangulate an objects position. This high tech method of mapping is becoming very common in vehicle travel.

Life's journey involves much more than physically getting from one location to another. There's the unseen, there's the spiritual journey. People, all of us, have thoughts and emotions that are unseen yet every bit as real as the physical. In fact, the majority of what we do physically originates in the unseen arena of our thoughts and emotions. We need direction here as well.

Like trains on a railroad life has two tracks, the physical and the spiritual. Wisdom gives appropriate attention to both rails life.  Inaccurate directions in either area can result in derailment. 

On a trip down any highway one is constantly being directed and given instructions on how and were to go. We definitely appreciate and value this guidance. We need to apply this to spiritual track of life as well. Where do we go for this?

Correct spiritual guidance is more than important it's vital; vital because our eternity is hinges on it. The Bible is by no means new. It's been around for about two thousand years. This is one of those times when old is definitely a good thing.

Directions to where and how we'll spend eternity demands proven authenticity. Over the years the Bible has undergone critical scrutiny. It survives today because it's God's Word. 

The greatest proof of Bible authenticity continues to be the lives that are transformed by its truths. Millions continue to experience the life changing realities of God's Word. I'm one of them! What it says about life and relationship with God through the Lord Jesus Christ continues to be validated to me on a daily basis. It's God's 

spiritual road map for all who are seeking the truth about life.

The journey of life has various roads that we can choose to run on. There's  differing scholastic, occupational, financial, social and spiritual paths before us. Most of these are personal preferences and when weighed on the scales of eternity make little difference to the journey's outcome and our final destination. 

There are many spiritual roads and numerous large and powerful religions in the world. This is where we need to be absolutely sure we're on the right road. The Bible which is God's heart expressed to humanity marks out a very clear and straight path leading to eternal life. God never forces anyone, however, He does give clear, specific directions that anyone can follow if they so choose.

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life, no one can come to the Heavenly Father except through me." Why is this? 

Most of the world religions share in common the need for disciplined moral behavior in hopes of improving society. There's a good reason for this. Regardless of nationality, education or finance people have common behavior traits; human nature.

Why, with all our education, technology and social experience do we still have the brutality of wars, theft, hatred, murders, and unforgiveness? Why with all the financial prosperity of the world super powers do have poverty and starvation? All these things are the result of human nature. Change needs to take place here.

If there is to be any lasting change in the moral and social fiber of humanity there must be a change in the basic human nature. The strictest disciplines tend to mask human nature not change it. This is way Jesus said, "You must be Born Again". 

"Human nature" is at the heart of all our scocial and moral problems. It's this "human nature" that separates us from God and this is what must be changed in order for there be right relationship with God and life styles that have His approval. 

Metamorphosis physically illustrates the spiritual rebirth that is required by God. Every person regardless of nationality, education, wealth or religion is born into this world with the fallen human nature. We're all earth bound like the caterpillar and to fly heavenward we must be changed; we must be "born again".

Humans have been given the capacity to reproduce. People reproduce earth bound people. Only a spiritual rebirth through the power of God can make people capable of living in the eternal spiritual Kingdom of God. You can be "born again", born of God.

To be successful in your journey of a life time requires a full embracing of spiritual things. It requires a full embrace of God's provision and clear direction. There is only one way and one way maker. Jesus is the Way that God has given us.

During life's journey God gives everyone the opportunity to come to Him through the Lord Jesus Christ. God is not willing that anyone should parish. He loves people, He loves you and is pointing you Jesus. He's the way to right relationship with God. He is the only way provided by God to be spiritually rebirthed.

Highway and road signs are not placed there to offend us they're there to give direction and instruction so that we will arrive safelyat our destination. God wants us safely arriving with His new spiritual life. Seize the opportunity. Make a right turn now.

Clocks, watches and calendars indicate where we are on life's journey of time. If viewed properly they are also caution signs for us. They're constant reminders that our physical life on earth has an end, all physical life does. It begins and ends.

We're given only a certain allotted time in which to choose our eternal destiny. Like a train, life has two tracks on which it runs; the physical and the spiritual. Both tracks demand strict attention and nothing should be treated lightly or taken for granted. 

When we use God's Word as our spiritual road map we get clear direction and instruction regarding both racks of life and we are clearly told when to make the right turn for new spiritual life. "Today is the day of salvation", not tomorrow! None of us have the assurance of tomorrow that's why we need to decide today!
